30-Day Prayer Challenge

Begin to build a habit of prayer by praying for 30 days in a row, for at least 20 minutes, uninterrupted, silent (no music), and with sacred scripture using the following methods of mediation:

  1. Click the "Prayer Challenge" Button, print the .PDF it brings you to

  2. Next, click "Join the Challenge" and sign up for an email reminder to keep you accountable on the day you finish

  3. Start praying! Read the .PDF you printed for the "How to"...

Frequently Asked Questions…

    • The goal of this challenge is not to "check the box", the goal is that we learn to pray when it is hard... when we don't want to... that we build a habit!

    • So if you miss a day or two... keep going, persevere, not a big deal if it takes you 31 or 32 days.

    • If you start to miss more than two days, still don't give up! Keep going! In order to complete the goal, we recommend getting to day 30 and then doing an extra 7 days straight without missing. Once you have prayed 7 days in a row without missing, you can say you've completed the challenge!

    • Ask a friend you know prays with the scriptures!

    • Reach out to one of the Gopher Catholic Ministry Staff and ask how.

    • You can also try watching this video

    • Keep praying! We recommend you pray with the Daily Mass readings. These provide you with the scriptures the whole global Church is mediating on that day. They can be found here.

    • We encourage to purchase one as we all should have one! Here is a good version.

    • If you would like to borrow one, please ask Micki at the front desk or Br Austin and we can loan you one.

*When you complete the challenge, ask Micki at the front desk to get a sticker and place it on the board in the gathering space. This will help show how close our community is to reaching our goal of 100 people completing the challenge by May 1st.*
